Everything has been planned to the day to ensure we have the best start to the season.

As i said we start with hard training, running etc on the 3rd.

Then five friendlies so i can look at players and decide on the squad for next season.

Then when i have the squad we train for another few weeks on ball work, drills and if i think others need more running i will take them aside for this.

Then another couple of friendlies to gel the team.

Then the big KO on the 21st of August so pre season has been well thought out, don't worry :)

Ok just a few things to pass on, i get my new phone today so will be avialable on the phone again from tonight :)

The bad news is am definitly staying on as manager as we have unfinished buisness ie winning this league!!!!!!!

Iain is now a coach of Houston and will be involved in pre season training, training and matters to do with the team ie any issues and selection, his imput will be invaluable and when i am working, Alek and Iain will take the team.

Pre season starts on the 3rd of July, Iain alek and myself with hopefully barry's help will make us into a fit gelled team, this will also allow me to be slightly less hands on re the training so i can watch players and choose who i think can win us everything next season ;)

I am currently talking to a number of signing targets that alek or myself have talked about throughout the season, and am very confident of having a very very good team next season, i will however only be signing 22 players.

Alek has agreed to find friendlies for us and together we will discuss what teams we wish to play, cause to be honest i have had about 9 teams approach me re pre season friendlies, we will let you know asap about this, but its my belief we do two weeks of hard graft then play plenty of games before season starts i think about the 23rd of August.

Presentation night on Sat so please please be on best behaviour as the River Inn could be a fantastic sponsor and will cement our future financially and socially for the future of Houston Amos,which is something other teams strive for!!!!!!!!
Also Houston are starting an U7's side to bring some structure to the club, Darren Gilmour will be running this but we will need help from players on some sat mornings when Darren is working and also to help with training but Darren will speak to us re this.

I am up for that mate but you will need to sort it out properly, i.e. prices for bus hire, ferry if we need one times, dates, and then come back and get feed back from the players.

I also have a local team St Smirnoff that want to play us so try leave a weekend free for that.

Houston AFC Talk:: Pre-Season
Pre-season will be starting the first weekend in July looking forward to seeing you all back for a good hard workout. If you know any players interested in coming down they are more than welcome.

We might be losing a few players during the summer so it is important that we try and get as many players to pre-eason as possible to give the manager a look.
