Ross McDonnell Somewhat of an enigma, Ross suffers from the same criticism of his favourite player Kris Boyd. Stick him on the park one on one with the keeper and there is only one place the ball is going to end up, natural scorer and finisher.

David McMurdo Another addition to the squad in the close season. Has had limited playing time so far this season but when called upon has not let anyone down. Was outstanding during a bounce game and deservedly man of the match in front of the watching manager. Never shirks a tackle and is not afraid to put himself on the line to win a tackle.

Ryan Bogle Promoted from the very successful Romanian youth project, Ryan is a young prospect and provided we can tie him down to the club for the long term, he will no doubt become a regular feature in the squad. He has great pace and skill to match, one for the future.

John Campbell Last seasons and current Houston AFC Player of the Year, has been passed about the team in terms of number of positions he has played like a bong in the middle of the swinging 60’s when John was just born. Never complains or moans just gets on with his job and performs every time, hence Player of the Year.

Scott McLintock Have still to play alongside someone better in terms of the amount of work rate this guy offers the team. Even at training he knows no less than 110% and has to be dragged of the park at times as he loves his football so much. Has told a few boys in the changing room he shaves his head so he can look like his

Mark Doherty 'Big Doc' is a recent member of the ‘Thirties club’ and is Houston Amateurs Founder Member and Club Captain. Within the team, Doc's fitness levels have excelled so far this season and he can often be found working out in his favourite gym 'The Houston Inn'. Not much gets passed the big man in a game because it can't physically. Solid and commanding he is one who never shirks his responsibilities and is always a big voice in the defence. |

Grant Finnigan When C.W.S. Transport folded, we moved early to snap up this young talented front man.

Ryan McGourlick ‘Gouls’ is another of the new boys this season and again has impressed when asked to play, he does his job soundly enough and is starting to establish himself. Good left foot and another with a good future in front of him.

Stuart Brown Much maligned, Stuart has had an impressive start to the season at left back. He likes to model himself on the bombing runs Lee Naylor makes at Celtic, and when he gets into position and crosses you would swear it was Lee himself on the park.

Iain McCallum Ian is one of Houstons most desired players (in his own mind)He briefly took the huff in the 2005/2006 season wen he left houston to go to a 'better team'-when we proceeded to pump that team 2 or 3 times during his tenure-Ian came crawling back with his tail between his legs. Its not all doom an gloom tho as Ian has the best left foot in the game and likes to model his style of play (and his haircut) on his idol-St.Mirren and Wales international Andy Dorman. These days if you come along to a Houston game and look very closely you'll see ian's dodgy knees just poking out of Arthurs arse on the sideline.

Callum Graham Defender Early in life, Callum was more at home doing somersaults, cartwheels and wearing a tutu practicing to become a Gymnast. Now a fully fledged member of the squad, that natural athleticism sees him giving his all to get involved in the game, another tireless runner. |

Darren Bogle Has become somewhat of a regular starter in the team in recent times. Rumour has it if he has had a bad game he can be seen wandering the streets of Bridge of Weir head butting walls and arguing with lampposts screaming ‘it was not my fault’.

| Photo to Follow | Chris Gilles Midfielder Current Houston Amos Players Player of the Year and is the Heartbeat of the team in the engine room, when he plays well the team play well. Great feet and can make even the best of midfielders look daft in an instant with a bit of magic. |

|
| Photo to Follow | Stephen Sloane Striker Better known as ‘Sloany’, on a Saturday he is like a dog that has been let off the lead to catch the ball. Defenders are terrified of his pace and overall work rate. Constantly making himself a nuisance to catch for the opposition. Top goal scorer nearly every season he plays and has scored a ridiculous amount of goals to help the team. |

Colin McKinnon Know to his mates as ‘Barra’. I would like to take a bet that he is faster on his feet than the original Road Runner from the cartoon (meep meep). Another striker who has scored important goals at crucial times for the club and will run himself into the ground for the full 90 minutes, or until his hip gives way.

| Photo to Follow | Andy Newton Midfielder At the age of 42 , Andy is somewhat in the twilight of his playing career but most of the time puts the younger players to shame with his workman like approach. Brings others around him into a game and has plenty to offer still. Only downside is if the grass is to long we either loose him in it or he gets injured trying to fight his way through it, think ‘Honey I Shrunk the Kids’. |

Robert Miller A new signing this season and there has been a lot of early promise from him hence the reason of signing him after the transfer deadline and stretching our player quota for this season, and should continue to impress as the season goes on. Has a throw in to rival Yogi’s also. |

| Photo to Follow | John McCormack Defender Named after Jellystones most famous bear Yogi was signed in the close season on a free transfer from local rivals Fordbank Star. Rumour has it he was placed on the Scrapheap of Amateur football as his bald head kept reflecting the sunshine into his team mates eyes during play. As a player Yogi is sound, is also versatile and very reliable. |
